Whether you’re buying for the mother who nursed you all the way through your childhood (and probably still a bit now) or you’re buying on behalf of your own off-spring, do NOT listen to the cries of ‘don’t worry about it, I don’t need a gift to know that you/the kids love me’. It’s a female lie that can land you in some serious hot water.
